Relay for Life at Columbia River High School

This is our first year to participate as a team at the relay. We know that cancer has touched all of our lives including Debbie one of our staff and her husband.  We are planning on making it an annual event.  We raised nearly $2000 for cancer research and we know that we can do much better next year.

Relay For Life (often shortened to Relay) is a fundraising event of the American Cancer Society, and is now held in many other countries. It is an overnight event designed to spread awareness of cancer prevention, treatments and cures, celebrate survivorship and raise money for research to find more cures for cancer. Relay For Life is the world's largest fundraising walk.  In 2007, Relay For Life raised over $405 million.
